Eastside Hawks was born some 29 years ago when its predecessor Sokol Hawks, a major force in local Volleyball competition, embarked on its journey to become a State League competitor and adopted a new club name in the process. Since that time Eastside Hawks has consistently and successfully featured across all divisions, Junior through to Premier, in the Men and Women's Victorian State League.
We have a very proud history, built upon the traditions of solid technical training, the fostering and promotion of natural talent and the encouragement of participation of players as well as their family and friends.
These traditions have led to many successes for the club and individuals, with several players and coaches achieving Victorian State and Australian National Team representation; as well as others receiving international playing contracts. Most recently, in 2014 Hawks achieved a berth in every Woman’s Grand Final of the Volleyball Victoria State League. Resulting in Gold for our Premiers, Reserves and Junior teams and Silver for one of our Division 2 teams. In 2015 we had two teams in the Grand Finals, Premiers and Division 3, both won Gold again! In 2016 our very young junior team won Silver in State League and two other teams featured in the final series. Our club has consistently been amongst the top ranked women's club team in Australia.
